A total of 46 people who had to be immunized against influenza, including several minors and a pregnant woman, were inoculated with covid vaccines in a city in southeastern Brazil, official sources confirmed this Friday.
The mistake took place on Wednesday in Itirapiña, a municipality in the state of Sao Paulo, where immunizers were confused, after sending a batch of antidotes against covid to a vaccination post against influenza, a fact that according to the Mayor's Office local is already under investigation.
The 28 minors and 18 adults, including the pregnant woman, who were wrongly vaccinated, will be monitored by a medical team for 14 days.
