POEM ABOUT THE FUTURE

 In the distant realm where the starlight gleams,

The future unfolds in fantastical dreams.
In a world of circuits and cybernetic grace,
Where humanity and technology interlace.

Metaphor:
Humans as sparks in the vast digital sea,
Woven with circuits, a grand tapestry.

Simile:
Like rockets ascending through the cosmic tide,
We explore the cosmos, our passion as our guide.

Personification:
The AI whispers, the city breathes with life,
In the neon-lit streets, we banish strife.

Hyperbole:
In this age of tomorrow, the cities reach the sky,
Skyscrapers touch the heavens, where dreams learn to fly.

Oxymoron:
The dark brightened by neon, a futuristic past,
In this realm of contradictions, we're free at last.

Alliteration:
The silver spheres of spaceships soaring high,
Silently sweep through the starry sky.

Onomatopoeia:
With a hum and a thrum, we break through the veil,
Into galaxies unknown, we set sail.

Idiom:
With chips in our brains, we hack through the code,
Unlocking the secrets of the universe's abode.

Allusion:
To Asimov and Clarke, we raise our glass,
Their visions of the future in our past.

Paradox:
In this world of cold steel and warm embrace,
We find in the future both stillness and race.

As we voyage onward, our destiny in sight,
In this sci-fi future, we dance with the light.

To My Loved City

 Talents in Barranquilla 

Barranquilla, land full of joy, harmony and passion.

It is normal that you feel attraction.

Barranquilla with b for beautiful valiants,

Barranquilla, full of artists with irrefutable talent.

Shakira with her incredible dance,

Conquers the tides and the coast of the city of lights.

Her smile is so beautiful, that she gives you the chance,

To  share her happy spirit that will never stop to be bright.

"Love is the name" is one of her songs,

to Barranquilla is where Sofía Carson belongs. 

Dances, composes, and even sings, 

She is a talented woman that is just opening her wings.

Sofía Vergara, has an admirable talent,

 She is special in the art of acting.

You may know her by her accent, it isn’t perfect, at least she is valiant

but she carries Barranquilla in her stressful cotidianity. 

You have surely seen this Colombian model and presenter several times,

Well, in commercials for Pantene, Falabella and Adidas you have seen Paulina Vega with different styles.

 This talented woman won Miss Universe 2014,

 captivating the whole world with a beauty before never seen.

Beautiful Barranquilla, adored “tierra querida”,

Your nature makes us unique, and your warm heart extraordinary. 

Lovely land of talents, culture and magic, 

your children, the Barranquilleros, are proud of your loyalty.

Barranquilla linda is the place where Fernando lives 

Full of sabrosura and summer leaves 

A place that vibes of joy gives 

Fernando likes to dance

In this carnival trance

He moves his body like anybody

In this party he stays away from drugs 

So he can enjoy in a healthy manner

and not to worry about narcotic dogs 

Fer goes with the flow 

He’s going down low 

Side by side Albi 

The soul of the party 

The cops arrive but ain’t nothing gonna break his stride

He’s running at the speed of light

He hears a woman passing 

Screaming from her lungs 

“Aguacate” “cocada” “angelito”

He’s hungry, now he grunts 

The wind of the palm trees is refreshing

 A beautiful place, it’s a blessing 

A city surrounded by the beautiful sea
