Charles McTavish
On a cold day of winter, 4 friends, Pedro, Patrick, John, and Isaac, decided to go to a sauna (as they always do once in a month) to release their stress and talk for a while. After 1 hour of being there, the sauna had a blackout and when the power got back in, Isaac was dead on the floor. They freaked out and started screaming.
The people from the administration heard the screaming and immediately went seeing what was going on. As soon as they saw the body, they called the police and after 15 minutes they got there. After 30 hours of research, the police only found that Isaac was stabbed with something very sharp, but they couldn’t find it.
The police decided to call a very well known detective called Charles McTavish that has an incredible record of solved cases. He has solved 695 out of 699 cases. When the detective arrived, the first he did was to ask Pedro, Patrick, and John what do they usually bring when they go here. Pedro told Charles that he always brings some documents to analyze while he is there because he is a lawyer. Patrick told him that he always brings a thermo because he needs to stay hydrated. John told him that he brings a notebook and a pen because he is a journalist and he takes a bit of this time to write his news.
After 10 minutes, Charles interrupted the silence and tension in the room and said “I know who did it. It was Patrick”. Everybody was shocked and immediately arrested him. Patrick asked Charles how did he know. Charles said “the only way that the weapon that was used to kill Isaac wasn’t found, was that it disappeared by the time the police arrived. That was why I discarded John from the suspects because I first thought it was him with the pen.
I realized that the only way that this would happen is if the murder weapon was a piece of very sharped ice inside of Patrick’s thermo. After killing Isaac, he threw the piece of ice on the floor and it melted.” Everybody was surprised about Charle’s deductive skills. This is why he is this well known. The police took Patrick to prison where he will be for the next 25 years.
