I was with my partner when a new case arrived. It was a strange case. Someone from the royalty of England came and started telling us that the queen of England disappeared.
They say that they came to us because we were the best detectives in the city, so they trust us with a very delicate event.
We didn’t think twice, we were determined to help to find the queen. And, it also could give us more recognition in other countries.
First, we started asking questions like, where was the last time they saw her, when, etc. They told us that days before everything was weird in the castle. The butler disappeared and was very aware of the queen. “One of the maids heard a conversation from the butler with someone saying that the plan was ready. She immediately told me what she heard. And that’s why I'm here” said the maid.
We decided that to investigate the butler, we will pass for infiltrated. The next day the maid gave us the maid’s uniforms for getting in the castle and to start investigating the butler. It was the biggest castle that we have ever seen.
When we were inside, we went to the queen’s bedroom and we looked for a clue that could help us find the guilty. We found a crumpled paper that has a map with the coordinates of the castle and it has a cross on it. We decided to follow those coordinates and we finally got into a weird part of the castle. It was the darkest part of it. We took out some flashlights and we walked the hallways. After 5 minutes of walking, we found a room, it was the biggest room in that dark place. We got in and we found an earring that belongs to the queen. We went out with the earring and we headed to our office. We had already taken a step to solve this mystery.
The next day we went again to the castle and we followed the butler to a place outside the castle. He was talking with officer Alex on trivial subjects and when they noticed our presence they began to speak in code.
In a paper, we started to take notes about everything they were talking. At first, we didn’t understand the code, but, after trying, trying, and trying we finally found it. The code was that they were saying nonsense words, but, the first letter of each word made a complete word. (For example, if you want to say “hello” in that code, you will say “hi”, “elephant”, “last”, “love”, “octopus”).
The address they were talking about was: Fulham Palace Rd, London W6 8RF. As soon as we discovered it, we headed there. When we arrived we started looking at all the places until we finally found the queen. She was in the smallest room of the hospital.
The butler and the officer escaped. We arrived at the castle with the queen and started asking her what happened. The queen told us everything that happened: “It was late and I was sleeping. I heard a sound and immediately I woke up. I saw the shadow of two people but I couldn't see their faces until they took me to that hospital”. She heard that the two people were asking a lot of money for her rescue. “They didn’t know, but I listened to what was the place that they were hiding.” said the queen. We immediately went to catch them. We found them off guard and they had nothing else but to confess everything. The butler said that he worked for the officer and he forced him to do what he did. If he didn’t, he and his family will be locked in a prison cell. We captured them and the queen recognized us as the best detectives in the country. We were extremely happy because we were able to discover one more case and it was the most important one.
