Alligator Man

Legends Born By Magdalena's River Banks

The Cayman Man is a legend that takes place in the department of Magdalena, on the coast of Barranquilla, says the legend of Saul Montenegro, a man who for his passion to spy on naked women condemned him to become a body being of alligator and a human head.

There was a man who liked to spy on women while bathing in the Magdalena River. To go unnoticed and be able to see them, he decided to go see a sorcerer, in order to make him a potion to become Cayman and thus observe the beauty of women, without being discovered.

The sorcerer decided to make him two potions: a red one that made him an alligator, and the white one that made him a man again. The man left where the sorcerer along with a friend with whom he was, to take care of the white potion while admiring the beauty of the women when they reached the river he took the red potion and became Cayman, His friend, who held in his hand white potion, he got so close that he dropped a few drops on him, turning saul into half-man, half Cayman.
From that moment the women of the area stopped frequenting the river because of the fear that "the Cayman man" produced.
