Our True Crisis

CRISIS

Terror strategies, applied by the state,
Have so many Colombians, as simple displaced.
Once created the guerrilla,
Many landowners were taken out of their villas
Accused of fostering them,
So, the machinery of displacement smashed lots of men
By taking their lands as their own,
The government legitimated what it stole.

Many wealthy landowners weren’t ever satisfied,
So they made poor country peasants,
Refugees put aside,
Culturally displaced, this wasn’t pleasant.
Being expatriated was the only way,
To survive the evil hunting,
To which their leadership and say,
Was finally sent into a dumping.

A dumping sad economy,
Is another violent crime,
Expatriation of resources, our enemy.
With corrupted politicians eating us all the time.

Political exile is another wave,
Resulting from this eternal chaos, which is our boss,
Where political leaders, trade unionists,
Human Rights defenders, journalists,
teachers, students, and environmentalists,
Are entirely flowing, they have to stay on.

Opposing social leaders,
Are now being executed,
But Venezuela is projected,
To blur our own crisis, my readers.
