Poem On Animals
About To Become Extinct
There once used to be
Color and life on this land
Where concrete now lies
But once it was more than just sand
Humans have so much greed,
That the diversity that was once seen,
Can never come back again
Because nothing will be left in the end.
It is terrifying how some think
The value of an animal is in its skin,
Or in the meat in its bones,
Or in the quality of its horns.
They do not longer have a home
As their habitats are destroyed
The only place they know
Is a cage without freedom nor hope.
But the saddest thing is,
The entitlement some people feel,
Or the power they have
Over an animal's life.
