REVENGE.

REVENGE

He was an usual man, he’s name was Jim, he worked at a gas station as a cashier. He had witnessed weird things but none similar to the one that finally ended his time on earth.

“Have a good day!” a client said as she walked away from the tiny store the gas station had. He would remember her face forever, since she was way too similar to her to not question his own sanity. Was she that woman he had loved before it all ended so tragically? No, she couldn’t be! How could she be?

The man tried to brush that feeling of uneasiness he received once the familiar brunette entered the room, but he just couldn’t. He just kept wondering and wondering, always ending up in the same conclusion as if he was just running in circles, which frustrated him even more!

He was going to panic, but he had to keep working. He was working the night shift that day, so he had to close everything once he was done, which was once dawn hit.

Not a lot of clients came in, it was already 2:00 am and he had managed to brush that weird feeling off just a bit, or so he had thought before the same woman walked in again. “Hi!” She said, cheerfully. Just as Jennie did, he thought, entering the cycle of craziness, memories and questions in which he was trapped in the first time that woman walked in.

Who was her? You may ask, well. She was the love of Jim’s life, the one that made him smile and gave him a motive to wake up everyday, the only one he needed. But, why was he so scared then?

That’s a bit more difficult to explain, she was pregnant with their son; However, one night that same day, but a couple years ago, they were having the worst fight they’ve ever had.

Jim bursted out in anger and when he was making his way
out of the house, he accidentally hit her, he wasn’t sorry though, so he kept walking. That same night she had gone into labor and bled out, taking the baby with her to the after life.

That is why it was so impossible that she just walked into the store not one, but two times, it was a lot for an old man like Jim to handle. The woman walked out with the same words as before, buying the same items as before, imitating everything perfectly.

Jim couldn’t handle her walking in one more time, he was sweaty and his heart, which had already caused problems, was beating harder.

Then, it happened what we all saw coming, she entered one more time, but this time with a baby in her arms, she was singing a lullaby to him. What made Jim collapse, they were bathed in blood, this instantly gave Jim a heart attack, making him die, but not without hearing the woman’s sad voice “Why did you do this to me? I’m sorry Jim, I’m sorry, I’m sorry…” and she repeated that until he couldn’t hear her anymore.
