Winter

A long time ago, there was a small town that
only few people knew about, but even though it was not well known, there was
something very special about it, since it was always in winter, a very cold and
breezy winter; therefore, there were no trees anywhere in that town.
Sam, who was a little boy, always wondered “how
would our town look like if it had trees?”
He had an obsession with stopping winter, so that in the future there
was at least a possibility that there were some trees.
One morning, he woke up with an incredible idea
in his head… he was going to climb into the clouds in order to talk to them and
convince them to stop producing snow, so he got out of bed, took his breakfast
and got all dressed up to start his mission; therefore, he wore a very thick
jacket and some boots.
Now he had to build a ladder that could reach
up to the clouds, so he started looking around in his garage to see if he could
find some tools to build it. After he got all the things he needed, it was
finally time to build the ladder; and then, he asked his dad to help him. When
the ladder was finished, he needed to find a very high place that was very
close to the clouds, like a mountain or even a building.
He tried with many buildings, but they weren’t
high enough for Sam to reach the clouds, so he went to the biggest mountain in
town, Sam actually was not that excited to climb that mountain for several
reasons: One of them was that he was
scared of falling from the mountain, but most importantly he heard that the top
of the mountain was the coldest thing ever that it was even possible to freeze
there. With all the courage he had, he
told himself he was going to be brave and started climbing the mountain with
the ladder in hand , but as soon as he started getting higher, the ladder froze
and then proceeded to break. Very worried, he went back to the floor as fast as
he could, so he wouldn’t freeze like the ladder.
Sam went home with a very sad face because he
could not achieve his goal, when his dad saw how sad he was he knew he had to
do something to solve it so he created a very good plan. He called Sam and told
him his plan, “We are going to get the entire town together in one place, then
we supplied them with clothing to protect them from freezing and finally we can
make a human ladder, so that you can talk to the clouds”.
Sam got very happy and reunited with everyone
in the town to put his father’s plan in action. Everything went well, so Sam
was able to talk to the clouds and suddenly winter went away, but now it was
summer, and they couldn’t stand the heat.
