2.Summary of the plot and setting. 

"Journey to the Center of the Earth" is a novel written by acclaimed French author Jules Verne in 1864. The story begins in Hamburg, where the protagonist, Professor Otto Lidenbrock, discovers an ancient encrypted Icelandic manuscript. With the help of his nephew Axel, they decipher the document and discover an encrypted message from the renowned alchemist Arne Saknussemm. This message reveals to them the existence of a path to the center of the Earth through a volcano in Iceland.


Motivated by curiosity and the desire to make an extraordinary scientific discovery, Professor Lidenbrock and Axel embark on an exciting expedition into the unknown. 3.Key characters personality description. 


1. Professor Otto Lidenbrock: He is the protagonist of the story, he is a great scientist and he really likes geology. He has a very brave personality, he is willing to take on the adventure of traveling to the center of the Earth knowing how dangerous it can be for his life.


2. Axel Lidenbrock: He is related to someone in the book since he is Otto Lidenbrock's nephew and is accompanying his uncle on the expedition. He is more quiet, reserved and cautious.


3. Hans Belker: He is an Icelandic guide who joins them on the adventure. He has a very practical personality, which balances the impulsiveness of getting to do things for the Lidenbrocks.


4. Martha: The Lidenbrocks' housekeeper, she worries about their well-being and tries to persuade Otto and Axel not to go on that dangerous trip since they could lose their lives in it.

5. Personal Opinion. 

It is a very fun book since it contains adventure, action, and much more, apparently it is a book about mystery because when you discover things that (those) begin to be part of the mystery, I would recommend it to people who are fans of adventure books, brave people. This book is very motivating since it shows you that if you want to do something in life you must know that you have to take risks for it.
