In a war full of vengeful, hateful, and bad-hearted people, there exist innocent beings pure as they come to earth, Kids around the world suffer from wars and conflict happening in their surroundings without knowing what's going on. They only see their loved ones crying and suffering for something they can’t understand, actually they start thinking that war is the only way of living, which harshly affects their live track. In this essay, I will show you some facts about the kids' minds at times of war.
First, we have to understand that a kid totally depends on his parent, not only for the fact they give him food and a home, it’s also about the feeling that the kid wants to give and receive, the care, the kindness, the attention and love that a parent should give to a kid is disrupted cause of the war, the loss of one or both parent, the depression they fill will leave apart the kid and start making him sad.
Another good point is that their lives would be ruined, because of the war they probably will not get educated and lose many years of learning, making them forced to move to refugees. Long after the war has ended, these lives will never attain the potential they had before the impact of war. (Croat Med J., 2006)
A very important factor in this type of situation is the fact that children are capable of developing both physical and psychological illnesses, living on reserves they do not obtain the proper nutrients as they should, also living in harmful and dangerous environments can be part of the problem. Finally, mental illnesses can be the product of the horrific and traumatic events that they experience, their minds, as they are not yet so developed, can be victims of diseases such as stress, depression, anxiety, and dissociative identity disorder, the latter being a shield against the reality that your mind creates to protect itself, etc.
A clear conclusion that we can reach is that children are the ones who least deserve these treatments due to war, they are pure souls that never cross their minds to kill someone or harm them, and they are unable to understand what is happening and understand the park their mother cried because dad will not come home, they will only fall victims to diseases and problems that little by little will end with him. They say that war corrupts the men, but it destroys the children.
