Fleeing the fast pace of life of the big city, a couple decided to move with their two children to a more remote and bigger house, which was very close to the town where they were born. The house had been uninhabited for many years and needed some fixes, but the low price ended up convincing them.
The children, a 10-year-old boy, and a 5-year-old girl, each settled in a room and were happy to have their own space. During the first week the girl had very strange behavior, but nothing that worried her parents. That night the girl got out of her bed and stopped at one of the corners of the room. She began scratching the wooden wall as she repeatedly whispered, "Help me!"
Little Liah had already suffered an episode of sleepwalking before, so the parents did not worry at first. As a precaution, they decided to have the children sleep in the same room.
On the next night Liah's brother got up to get water and when he returned he saw that his sister was not in the room, he looked for her in the kitchen but did not find her, so he decided to go back to bed when he passed by Liah's room he could see how the girl stared at one of the walls and whispered things that he could not understand.
The very frightened child ran to his parent's room and woke them up. When they arrived at the room Liah was asleep in her bed, the parents woke the little girl to go to sleep in the other room, and the child without understanding what had happened also went to sleep.
From then on, Liah began to get up every night, after her brother fell asleep. She would head to the other bedroom and scratch the same wall as she repeated, "Help me!" Apart from this obsessive behavior, the girl became very withdrawn and was always sad.
The mother, desperate for the situation, went to an old woman who had lived her whole life in that town. When Liah's mother told her what was happening, the old woman told her that a man and his daughter had lived in that house. The girl had been lost in the woods and her father committed suicide shortly after.
Liah's mother told her husband and they were worried and scared, one day they decided to remove some of the wooden panels that covered the wall and that her daughter scratched, behind them they found a small skeleton with his hands tied.
