If climate change advances at the same pace, what will be the consequences for people?
Climate change is a phenomenon that surprisingly some people nowadays still don’t care about or they simply just don’t know about it and the consequences that it can lead to. At this pace in which it’s going there’s not a single thing positive thing or effect about it, it’s impossible to get something good out of it, but it seems like some individuals don’t want this to change or stop in some way, they don’t take into account the enormous amount of consequences that can affect animals, environment, ecosystems or anyone on the planet Earth, including you. But not just that, it can also include social and economic changes, as I said earlier, there is not a single positive point about this.
In terms of nature, there are things you should be afraid of, because it can lead to more frequent and intense droughts, storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, and those are phenomenons that can affect your physical and mental health, also your pretty home and family, as climate change gets worse, dangerous weather events are becoming more frequent, for example, people in the U.S are facing these phenomenons that are some of the effects of the climate change, like hurricanes or floods that made a lot of people lose their houses or part of them.
But this also affects a lot of animals, by melting glaciers and warming oceans can directly harm them, destroy the places they live and by that decreasing the amount of animals of some species. For example the polar bear being affected by the melting of glaciers.
Specifically, consequences direct to human health are also a thing. There has been an increase in the number of heat-related deaths in some regions and a decrease in cold-related deaths in others, in part caused by climate change. Also there have been changes in the distribution of some water-borne illnesses and disease vectors.
The most affected countries are the poorer ones, and that’s because their population often depend heavily on their natural environment and they have the least resources to get with the climate change getting worse every time much more.
So, to sum up, everyone needs to think about it and care about it, it’s very important, don’t be selfish and think of the rest of the mankind too, try to stop climate change, contribute your grain of sand because little by little, all together, we can make the necessary difference to ease it.
