Poem of Summer

  • It is the middle of June, and the end of summer school, it's time to sit back and chill on a late afternoon, looking back I feel, that it’s very plain to see, all the hardships and sufferings both almost drove me insane, and with vacations around the corner, what better time to reminisce.

  • This school year wasn’t awful, it was fairly tame in fact, to the year at large, yet by being away from everyone, the task feels larger in size, there was new homework everyday all month round, all year round, no wonder my surroundings felt so loud, with so much work on our plate, I had little time to create.

  • So much work, tiredness and lack of motivation, we were so busy we started feeling stagnation, the days went by, with barely anything changing, the weeks flew away and our mental health was surely deteriorating, it felt like a nightmare, a tame one to be fair, but as nightmares do, they always have to end.

  • We are close to ending the school year, less work, homework and classes we’ll find here, ending it in June is no small thing, with all the new events and releases, it feels like Christmas in here; however, looking back on this year so far, my heart aches to find my friends one more time.

  • Not only is the year ending, but our time in school as well, graduation is coming soon and that feels pretty swell, but I can’t shake the feeling that all is not exactly well, before we know it, we’ll have our own jobs, our adult lives are gonna start, we’ll be in college, chasing our careers, following our dreams, it feels like yesterday since we were kids, but the time for worrying shall come later, for now let’s relax, and hunt down tow mater.
