A Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Reader

 The Hound of the Baskervilles

The story begins in England with the narrator of the story being Holmes’s assistant, Dr. Watson, telling the reader indirectly that they were expecting a visitor at half-past

ten, when the visitor arrives he’s introduced as Dr James Mortimer, who asked for an appointment with Holmes. To ask him for help and inform him about the death of Sir Charles Baskerville then Dr James Mortimer proceeds to tell them about the story of the hound of the Baskervilles about Hugo Baskerville the head of the Baskervilles at that time who captured and imprisoned a young country lass at his estate in Devonshire, only to fall victim to a marauding hound of hell as he pursued her along the lonesome moors late one night. Ever since, Mortimer reports, the Baskerville line has been plagued by a mysterious and supernatural black hound.

Holmes, intrigued, agrees to take the case and go meet the current heir of Sir Charles, Sir Henry Baskerville. Shortly after the meeting Holmes notices a strange man with a black beard following Baskerville and Mortimer and they speculate as to whether the mysterious figure is friend or a  foe. Then Holmes announces that he is too busy to go with them to the Baskerville hall so he sends out Dr. Watson. At Devonshire Watson is informed that an escaped convict is roaming the moors.

When they arrive at the hall they’re greeted by Mr. Barrymore and Mrs. Barrymore, then they eat dinner together and go to sleep. So after a while a series of mysteries happen in a short amount of time: Barrymore is caught sneaking around the mansion at night, the doctor hears what sounds like a dog's howling and Mrs. Stapleton provides a warning for Henry Baskerville but tells Watson instead.
