Nowadays we can see how cruel we are. We’re killing our only home by wasting our resources without noticing the impact it has on our not so far future. In fact, technology and natural resource depletion are connected in a certain way. Technology has been a very helpful tool in our generation, most of all at this moment. But, it also has its disadvantages environmentally speaking.
As it was mentioned, one of the negative aspects is the resource depletion caused by technology. As a consequence of resource depletion and deforestation, the World Bank reported that the net loss of global forest between 1990 and 2015 was 1.3 million km. Not only does this result in a loss of trees which are important as they remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, but thousands of plants and animals lose their natural habitats and have become extinct.
Technology in the last years transformed into a necessity for being included in society, getting a job, communicating with other people, and even more. We are seeing how technology and innovations take control of our world, in fact in the near future robots and machines will start covering most of the works.
We can witness all mentioned before this when looking at the creation of a car, machines that build cars many times faster than a human, also many witty people are designing some robots that can take care of humans and perform operations, so human doctors will disappear. In fact, in Dubai, the police are a group of robots.
In conclusion, humans are destroying everything for the humankind's future if they are not forseeing the survival of the species, but closing the chances for them to earn a living.
