A Poem For Those Who Need To Believe In Themselves

For Everyone

You try to be perfect, you always do

But is perfection something anyone can pursue?

Mabe you’re not reasonable, but you don’t understand

If perfection you want to reach, you’ll drive yourself mad

Why are they better? Why don’t you have that skill?

Even if you try, you can’t climb that hill

That hill of perfection and natural talent

Guess you aren’t really smart, why don’t you stay silent?

“You are quite intelligent”, “wow you’re a genius”

That spark you have lost, now you’re an inconvenience

“How are you so good at everything” sometimes they ask

The truth is you’re not, its all just a mask

You want to be in control, fulfill every task

That desire of excellence can’t be kept in a jar

It’ll eventually scape, and that is not bad

But i it hurts you this much, maybe something you lack

First it’s physics, it’s difficult and you can’t keep up

No motivation you feel, as you’re not in control

Before you could do it, before you were strong

But after all of those years, you are all turned to dust

All the stress, the pretending that everything’s fine

When it wasn’t and now your success just declines

Then came math, Spanish , now everything’s hard

You thought you were a natural, but you’re now all burned out
