Kamaru Usman defeated Gilbert Burns and retained the welterweight title for the third time at UFC 258. Thus, the Nigerian continues on a perfect 13-win streak in the Octagon. They were training partners and shared a gym; however, this time they became rivals. Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns starred in a great evening at UFC 258 in Las Vegas. And after three tough rounds, the Nigerian successfully retained the welterweight title.
Although Gilbert Burns surprised Usman with one hand in the first round, the Nigerian bore through the moment and by the second round he used his jap to generate damage. The champion's power blows were noted and the Brazilian ended up touched. Already in the third round, as soon as the actions were resumed, Kamaru Usman connected a right jab to Burns's face. The impact made him fall seated and the Nigerian finished him off with ground and pound blows.
It is undoubted to think that Kamaru Usman is making a name for himself in the history of mma, now he will look for another great fighter with whom to put his title in the game.
