K-12
K-12 pronounced as “K through12” is the second studio album released by American singer Melanie Martínez, it was also published with an accompanying film under the same name on September 6th, 2019 by the label Atlantic Records.
The album talks about all the experiences you may have in school. The album contains a track list of 13 songs in total named after school related terms such as “Wheels on the Bus”, “The Principal”, “Lunchbox Friends”, “Detention” and so many more.
The album was mostly produced by Michael Keenan. The main genres that are found in K-12 are electro pop and alternative pop. In Martinez’s official website we can find a paragraph that describes the album as "a vibrant and singular melting pot of low-key hip-hop, soulful pop and indie-leaning electro".
