Pieces of Advice To Better Cope With The Pandemic

To Better Live Through This Pademic

We know how school can be a little demanding, and how living through a pandemic can affect not only our quality of life, but also our mental health. Today, we bring you some help for you and your body to understand how to deal with the different emotions that you might experience that make you feel like you are not yourself or that you are not in your senses.

  • Deep breathing: breathing in for 4 counts and breathing out for 4 counts for 5 minutes total. By evening out your breath, you’ll slow your heart rate which should help calm you down.

  • Aromatherapy: Aromatherapy is thought to help activate certain receptors in your brain, potentially easing anxiety.

  • Write down your thoughts: whenever i'm feeling anxious (susana) or like those days that i don't even know how i'm feeling I write poems, most of them are just jokes others are really deep, and are those that help me classify my emotions and then I can realized what am i feeling and how can I stop it.

Every person deals with anxiety, because it’s part of our brain’s response to a perceived danger, even if that danger isn’t real, but there are times anxiety can get serious and turn into anxiety attacks that initially feel manageable and then gradually build up over a few hours. (This is different from a panic attack.)

Always remember that negative thoughts can take root in your mind and distort the severity of the situation. You are loved, you are enough, you are perfectly imperfect.

We love you,
