The Fault in Our Stars Review
The Fault in Our Stars is a book exploring the life of a teenage girl struggling with cancer, and the friends she makes along the way. What I really like about the book is how emotional some of the scenes get, making it seem like you're experiencing the eventgs that happen with the characters.
It's very well-written, with each page getting you more and more invested into the book. Another thing I liked about the book is how it gives a lot of comedic relief, with well thoughtout jokes scattered through the lines of the book. It feels like it's really digging into the narrator's sense of humor. Speaking of which, in this book, the narrator is the main character.
I personally liked how the author decided to make the novel in 1st person, as it gives the book more of a diary-like feel to it, and adds another layer of reader-integration on top of that.
Overall, my thoughts on the book are very positive, and I feel like any person who gets their hands on it will be sure to be experiencing a lot of emotions, and sometimes more than one emotion at the same time!
This book is definitely worth taking a read, in my opinion.
