The Last Day.
Today will be a good
day
That’s what you repeat
to yourself
It proves you wrong
everyday
But you wish there is
some hope left
I will recover from
this
You try to make it
better
The voice inside you
says you won’t be missed
Horrible thoughts come
to your mind
Blood dripping from
your hands
Happiness seems like
you’ll never find
Maybe you should talk
with someone
But then again the
voice says you will be bothersome
Scratches prominent on
your arms
And then you know
there’s no way out
Despite some days you
will be calm
The storm comes when
least expected and you fall
To what seems the only
thing your hands can grasp
The escape is
momentary, unhealthy as hell
But for a moment it
makes you feel well
You need to keep it to
yourself
You don’t want to be a
bother, says the voice again
You need to escape, but
you don’t know how
There is only one way
left
Today is a good day
You say to yourself
The last letter is written
When you get home, you
smile even when you’re torn
Everything is done, for
me you should not mourn
That was the only way
And those were her last
words.
