Missing People In Colombia

 MISSING PEOPLE IN COLOMBIA

It's no secret that Colombia is a very divided country, with two opposite ideals and overall a lot of opposition. Sadly, these opinions have caused irreversible damage and today, many of the consequences are part of our daily lives.

Initially the oppression caused by the government was what originated an on going war that sometimes acts in disguise, but actually seems never ending. There are hundreds if not thousands of victims, and the Colombian Nation is sick of this.

The sickest part of this violence is that it has come to a point where safety is a privilege, and this is the case of many young adults whose disappearance is unanswered, and their "privilege" was torn away from them.

Not only their families, but also the whole Nation is desperate to know this new threat. Certainly, we cannot attribute these disappearances to the conflict, especially if there's no starting point to begin with, but the point of the comparison is to show how the nation's violence has trespassed all boundaries, there's no safety even in our own home, schools or the streets. As of now in Cali, Natalia Andrea Salazar disappeared leaving no clue behind, or in Bogota, Elizabeth Serna Díaz did as well and many more young adults and kids have left their families, and close ones without any sort of explanation.

These cases show heartrending side of the violence. We need an explanation to what is happening, is this a part of the conflict we are so sick about? or is it a new threat?
