Modern Slavery
Modern slavery is a terrible thing that is actually
fairly common in underdeveloped countries.
What sometimes happens is that a certain company from
a foreign country offers a high paying job to a gullible person. Ff the person
accepts, they make the person come into the country, and take their passport.
They don’t pay the person nearly as much as what was advertised and force them
to work ridiculously long hours in very unsafe conditions.
The person can’t quit as someone there has their
passport, so they are stuck working for very little money. This violates
several human rights, and to this day, not much is being done about it.
There was recently a scandal surrounding modern
slavery where it was speculated that the stadium for a FIFA cup in Qatar was
actually being built using this inhumane practice.
To conclude, modern slavery is a major problem that many
innocent people suffer from.
