The NBA is set to get back underway from July 31st at Disney World in Orlando.
This unique venue will host 22 of the league's 30 teams, as they play out the remaining eight regular season matches to see which teams will qualify for the play-offs.
This information comes from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski:
The NBA's board of governors will have a video conference on Thursday afternoon with the intention of approving the league's plan for a 22-team return.
The play-in tournament will include the No. 8 and No. 9 teams from each conference, so long as the ninth seed finishes the regular season within four games of eighth, according to ESPN sources.
In that case, the No. 8 seed would enter a double-elimination tournament, and the No. 9 seed would take part in a single-elimination tournament,
The NBA will invite 22 teams to Orlando: 13 from the Western Conference and nine from the Eastern Conference.
There will be eight regular-season games per team.
Play-in for eighth place, all from July 31 to October 12, provided the board of governors approves this format on Thursday.
