Mother’s Day
Mothers have always been portrayed as a fundamental part of literature. They are represented as strong characters, that would give their lives for their children, that have faced every obstacle in their way to protect their loved ones.
Sometimes they are single moms, married, stepmoms or widows, but the most important thing, is what they have in common, the unconditional love they are always willing to give.
‘’You had me feel the world
The breath you have created
Today more than usual
I want to be held in your arms
What is higher than anything above the ground
What is wider than anything beneath the sky
The only one, mother’s hand is medicine hand
You are forever my placebo’’

In literature there are plenty example of extraordinary moms, for instance, Molly Weasley raised 7 children! and she proved to be someone that would defend her family even if it costs her life, and more than that, was willing to be a maternal figure for Harry, even when she did not have to.
But today, we want to talk about one that won our hearts completely, she survived an abusive marriage, she raised her kid alone, helping his son to deal with issues like dyslexia and ADHD. Helped him face the bullies that were constantly making his life impossible.
Supported him every moment, and suffered more than anyone when he had to go to war to face the Titans, then the Giants, and when he disappeared. Everytime he left the house, it could be the last time that she would see her son.
And even with all of that, she stood strong, supported her son with everything she could, and always showed a smile. Sally Jackson is truly an example of perseverance, honest, unconditional love. That raised Percy to be the hero he is, and a wonderful example of mothers in literature.
For everything you do for us, Happy Mother’s Day! Know you are loved more than anyone, and we appreciate with all our heart everything you do for us.
‘’Hey mama
Now you can lean on me
I’ll always be by your side
Hey mama
Because you gave selflessly to me
Because you were my support
Hey mama
Now you can believe in your son, you can smile
Hey mama’’
