COUGAR
Agile animals, now under endangered status,
Also called Florida Panthers, but they do not feed on rattus,
Males weight 130 pounds, but they are not that gratus
Females just weight 70 pounds, they can reach a stratus
They eat white tailed deers,
Ran away from Texas, where they weren't deared
Solitary lives they live,
I know they are combative
Males have a home range up to 400 square miles
They believe in themselves,
They can even smile
However, they aren't gentile
That's why some men have them in their shelves
Thing which is a crime, I believe they feed on bile
A bitter life a poacher lives,
Hunting illegally is nothing to be proud of
Cougars aren't any game, they should rest on leaves
Eating rabbits, raccons, and also a furtive dove
Reach sexual maturity at about 3 years,
They are so strong they could fight lazy peers,
Young stay with mother for about two years,
But females do not mate until left her cub, my dears
Also called mountain lions and pumas,
They are the second biggest cats after jaguars,
I love these felines that dislike umas
They are my pretty poem's stars, but we can't keep them in our backyards.
