Questions on Erosion and Deforestation Lnks

May I ask you what deforestation is?

“Deforestation, clearance, clearcutting or clearing is the removal of a forest or stand of trees from land which is then converted to a non-forest use. Deforestation can involve conversion of forest land to farms, ranches, or urban use. The most concentrated deforestation occurs in tropical rainforests.” Hectares and hectares of our forests disappear every year in the places where there’s abundant nature., like in  Madagascar, Brazil, or the Amazone.

What’s the wood used for anyways?
It’s used for your daily basis, going from the thousands of papers we waste everyday, take a look at the furniture around your house because it might be wood too, and it’s even in weapons or any construction material.

Forests cover a big number of our landmass, they give us our oxygen that we need to live, our time here can change if we don’t take care of it.

What can we do to help?
There are many solutions for deforestation, the first one is
reforestation. Reforestation or replanting as the name says it, it’s about planting new plants or trees, this is a big help. The second one is called Green Business, which concerns reuse and recycling methods. Particularly, it’s the focus on re-using items, reducing the use of artificial items, and recycling more items, as to say: paper, plastics, and woods, which are linked to the destruction of forests and other natural resources.

With this, you might want to also have a responsible consumerism, it means there will be less dependence on the natural resources and trees. It will also reduce government and company imports of raw-materials from forest regions in other parts of the world.

Now there’s also the Erosion problem. “The process of eroding or being eroded by wind, water, or other natural agents.”, it has increased the loss of fertile land, pollution and sedimentation, degrading lands and many animal species. Two solutions may be: first one,  careful tilling so that the structure of soil doesn’t break, and second one, crop rotation which will always keep land happy and healthy.

These are some solutions you may apply for both, erosion and deforestation because our world matters.
