BE YOURSELF

You Must

You must be thin,
Says the society we are in
You should start a diet,
Says my mother,
I don't remain quiet.

I want a perfect body, mom, I do
It is not my only desire,
You must have curves
Silky straight hair
All of those thoughts we must repair.

Instead of ourselves,
Believe me when I say
You are perfecti
In your own unique way
Don't cover up your skin
Is it dark or is it fair?

Be nice to yourself,
And to others as well,
Your imperfections nake you perfect,
You mustn't despair.
