CHARLOTTE’S WEB
I think that the
relationship between the title and the content is that thanks to the
Charlotte’s web they did not kill Wilbur, she saved him and that is a
friendship’s bond.
Author: E. B. White
It is a story that conveys the
meaning of love, friendship and death. An unconventional story for a children's
book. But the author tries to symbolize with Charlotte's death and her
achievements, that everyone has a natural cycle in life. That you should not
always help others to get something in return, and that someone's heart is not
measured in size.
SUMMARY
Fern Arable was a
girl of only 8 years, she was sad because she hears that her father was going
to kill his new pet ... a pig. She promised to take care of him and that's how
she saved him, so she decided to call him Wilbur.
When Wilbur becomes
too big, Fern is forced to sell him to
his uncle Homer Zuckerman who has a
stable full of animals. Wilbur hears that he will be killed, so he did nothing
but crying and said he didn't want to die, but one Spider named Charlotte
accompanied by a rat, named Templeton, decided to help him.
Charlotte decides to
write words on her web like "some pig" and many more which altered
people and began to love Wilbur. Charlotte accompanies Wilbur to a fair where
she wins a prize, thanks to her last word on the web (“humble"). Charlotte
had been very weak since she had had hundreds of children; therefore, she died;
however, Wilbur picked up the eggs and took them to the stable. When all the
children were born, they left less than 3 which comforted Wilbur for a long
time.

POINT OF VIEW
I think this story is super cute because I
love animals, I think this story should be a little longer or at least say much more about
Wilbur or Charlotte's children.
QUOTE
"Wilbur didn't know what to do or which way to run. It seemed as
though everybody was after him. 'If this is what it's like to be free,' he
thought, 'I believe I'd rather be penned up in my own yard.'"
