Animals' Intelligence

Orangutans Vs. Cats

I will be comparing two mammals and then I will decide which is smarter, based on their physical and mental skills: orangutans Vs. cats.

It’s a fact that orangutans are one of the smartest mammals on Earth, placing them just behind us, the human beings.

Some aspects that prove us that orangutans are very smart, are the facts that they know how to live in community and recognize and interact with their own biological family, and care for them as well.

The gorilla, which was said to have an IQ of between 75 and
95, could understand 2,000 words of spoken English. The average IQ for humans on many tests is 100, and most people score somewhere between 85 and 115. But in the other side, we got the cat whose intelligence actually depends on its breed, because of insctinct, being a Feline.  Abyssinians, Siamese and Bengals are all incredibly social breeds that are happier when they're interacting and playing with their owners. They can even be taught to perform tricks!

In my opinion, orangutans are really smarter than cats because the latter are usually impulsed by their instincts,  being Felines, but an orangutan can think of its odds, and changes to succeed in any activity they want to.

I conclude,  that only for the fact that the orangutans share ancesters with us, the humans, who are the smartest and most developed organism on planet earth, is  smarter than any cat.
