Caring and Respecting

 THE PERFECT PRINCESS

In Victory Kingdom, there was a beautiful princess, daughter of king Arthur, named Elizabeth, who was much desired by the princes that were looking for a princess to finally get more riches, so she had too many suitors, but she only cared for those who adored her for her beauty.

She was very rude with her servants, and not only with them,
but also with all the people who lived in the village where her father reigned. She was so careful with her face, that she ordered some of her servants to bring her fresh herbs for treatment so that not to lose her beauty. In some cases, when the servants didn’t do well what she asked for, she sent them to do even harder work.

When she asked her servants if she looked “pretty”, for obvious reasons they had to answer “Yes”, but not in that way, they had to answer “Majesty, you look more beautiful every day, your great beauty must be known even in the slightest places, must be revered and envied by the world, and no other will match such a beauty of yours”, if they didn’t answer like this, she commanded other servants to punish them very strongly.

One morning, the beautiful princess got up from her bed like every day, she immediately looked in the mirror to admire her beauty, but she quickly noticed that on her forehead there were 2 wrinkles. She was so terrified that she sent for a great sorceress to get her a remedy, so she could remove those horrible wrinkles.

After, the princess waited for hours, the sorceress arrived, and told her, that if she gets spread snail’s slime, she could have the same skin back. The princess quickly obeyed the old sorceress’ order.

The next morning, the wrinkles had disappeared, but this time 3 horrible pimples had appeared on his beautiful forehead. Again, she called the sorceress who told her to gather a mixture of vanilla essences with cinnamon, the princess again obeyed the sorceress’ order.

Next day, the beautiful princess turned to look at the mirror, and this time she had some horrible dark circles. Fed up with this, she called the sorceress asking for  a remedy that would remove all imperfections from her face. The sorceress told her that there is a remedy, but if she didn’t follow as the recipe, horrible things could happen. The sorceress asked her to look for:

  • 4 daisies petals, to lighten the skin.
  • 3 tablespoon honey, to rejuvenate
  • 2 pinches of striped gold, o finish with the acne
  • 1 tablespoon fairy powder, to be always perfect

The princess quickly obeyed again the orders of the old sorceress. Very anxiously prepared all herself, in a small plate of carved wood, she mixed all the ingredients, she ordered and  stitched them together on her beautiful face.

The next day, the princess looked more beautiful than ever, it was the best day of her life. She was so happy, but had a little itchy on her face, but she didn’t give much importance to it, so she left her home, heading to an orphanage, carrying 4 gold coins for orphaned children, then bought 7 bouquets of red roses and began handing out a rose for each person that stood in front, only for see her face, but the itchy in her face didn’t stop.

She arrived at her room very tired, lying in her bed, falling asleep deeply. The next day, she got up, but out of the ordinary, she touched her face and there  was something viscous. Immediately, she went to see herself in the mirror, observing that in her face there was something slug, like a snail and had many ugly pimples, so she screamed and asked for help, but no one helped her.

No one loved her because she treated everyone very badly,
she realized that for thinking only of herself, treating people badly and being very egocentric, she drove everyone away and she was alone.

This day the princess apologized to everyone who she treated badly, because she understood that outer beauty is not important, that to be really beautiful, you have to be beautiful inside, be humble, treat with respect all those around you, because if you don’t care about others no one’s going to care for you.
