Colombia Is In The Semifinal
Colombian
National Soccer Team continues to fight for the U-20 World Cup title, after
beating New Zealand in the penalty shoot-out in the last 16.
If it has to do with every player who lived
this experience in the stadium, in Lodz we have a good Colombian fan
celebrating this important triumph. Kevin Mier became involved in this campaign
after his excellent performances in recent times.
The
Kiwis started with more offensive intentions, but the ones that hit first were
the Colombians. At minute 10, Iván Angulo charged a free kick that grazed
Andrés Reyes just to send the ball to the back of the net.
The
Tricolor, who wore blue, began to handle the ball and had a presence in the
middle of the field, but with the passing of the time the New Zealand players
began to attack the sector defended by Anderson Arroyo.
It
was for that same place that the New Zealanders found the space for Stensness, without
a mark, to send a creeping ball that Cacace only touched to celebrate the 1-1
draw.
The
final score was 5-4, so Colombia is now in the quarters and will play against
Ukraine tomorrow, June 7th. We wish them success.
