A Regretful Cat

The Long Lost Cat

Once upon a time, there was a cat by the name of Puffy, who was fluffy, delicate and petty, but at the same time he was selfish, materialistic, faky, rebellious and only approached his owner to get food and toys, instead of really loving him. He only loved his owner for what he could provide Puffy with.

He would go out from the house once in a while, without his owners notice, so one day he exited the house for a walk outside;  however, he didn’t make it home again. He was confronted by a group of dogs and was chased on his way to his cat friend’s yard.

The dogs were aggressive, heavily built and rabid Rottweilers
who could kill any creature with the bite of their sharp teeth. Fluffy was lazy, though agile. Despite he did run a decent mileage from the dogs, he did not flee them. Finally, he ran into a drain and got in.

The dogs, however, stayed near the drain waiting for the cat to come out and did not leave it. Puffy was afraid of water and did not want to flee along with the rapids of the sewer's water, but he had no chance other than to jump from its sideway to the water and flew along with it.

He decisively jumped and ended up in the dirtiest depths of the sewer's waters. Puffy has spent days trying to exit from it, but he hardly ever found a way out, meanwhile his owner worried and spent countless hours searching for him all around the house, but could not find him anywhere.

Puffy had nothing, but a bunch of rats and bugs to feast on, the dirty water to bathe with and the floor to rest on. Spending so much time there, he began to miss his owner and regretted everything he ever did. However he did not surrender his search for an exit, he kept going and going until he found a small tunnel that led to the river.

Puffy made it out of the tunnel alive and returned to civilisation, but he did not make it without any obstacles. He was again confronted by the dogs, but he did not flee. Instead, he trapped them to a garbage dump.

He happily returned to his owners' house and gave him a dirty hug. The owner was relieved and bathed him, but Puffy did not care for water because he got used to it all those days after living in the sewer system.

Puffy learned a lesson about always loving your close ones and value their presence, not because of what they can do for you, but for who they are. So, happily ever after, Puffy lived a joyful life with his owner.

 The end.
