Leisure Time


Vacation is coming!! And today we want to talk to you about some things you can do to enjoy your vacations in a really good and healthy way:


1. Learn a new language.
We highly recommend starting with Duolingo. It's an app that provides free language tutoring through a series of activities and exercises. It offers a wide variety of languages such as Spanish (For foreigners living in Barranquilla), German, Greek, Swahili, among many others.

2. Volunteer.
There's an endless amount of volunteering opportunities
offered throughout every major city in the country. For example, many hospitals will accept volunteers. Most positions only require an application, but be sure to check for minimum requirements such as age or experience.

3. Read a book.
Go to a library and wander until you find a book you think you'll like. Sit back, relax, and enjoy.

4. Spend time with your brothers and sisters, if you have them. Share more time with your parents and grandparents as well, since this is important to strengthen family ties and love bonds.

5. Go to the gym and exercise in a healthy manner. Working your body out is crucial when you are at home because it gives you more vitality.

6. Go to the supermarket and take healthy choices to share home with your relatives and family, this way you won't gain extra-weight.

7. For your mental health it is also paramount to have recreational activities to enjoy with your friends, like going to the movies or just have a trip with them.
