Importance of Good Sleep

Importance of Good Sleep

We, as students, suffer a lot of stress, fatigue, both mental and physical, and a lot of more of things, but you know what the majority of these problems are caused by not sleeping well and today we are going to explain why sleeping well is really important to your health.

1. Sleeping improves your memory.
Sleeping well plays an important role in a process called memory consolidation. Deep sleep is a very important time for your brain to make memories and links, so getting more quality sleep will help you remember and process things better.

2. Sleep reduces stress
When you don't sleep well enough, your body's functions are put on high alert, which causes high blood pressure and the production of stress hormones.

3. Napping makes you "smarter"
Napping during the day is an effective and refreshing alternative to caffeine, that is good for your overall health and can make you more productive. People who nap at work show much lower levels of stress. Napping also improves memory, cognitive function, and mood. Some tips are given below in the posted infographic.

In conclusion, organize your time for you to make all the things you need to and sleep well, stop staying awake just for seeing how your favorite series ends, you can see that in the morning, and take naps as well.
