Throne of Glass

          Throne of Glass

Throne of Glass follows Celaena Sardothien, an 18-year-old assassin in the Kingdom of Adarlan. After being imprisoned for a year by the King, she accepts his son's offer to compete with other assassins and thieves for a chance to serve as the King's champion, after four years of which, she would be granted freedom. This leads her to form unexpected bonds with Chaol, the captain of the guard, and Dorian, the Crown Prince of Adarlan. Over time, Celaena is drawn into a conspiracy and a series of battles, leading to discoveries surrounding both the Kingdom and herself.

Throne of glass is the first book of the saga that takes the
same name written by Sarah J. Maas.
The first book especially has almost all the complements to be a history of perfect fantasy. The characters are well developed (even the supporting characters) and the female figures show us how not depend on the other, and that the gender do not determines the one who can be good at something.
The book not only shows us an imaginary world but also scenes of action that are narrated in a way that helps and facilitates the reader to be engaged into the plot. The story also has a love triangle between the three main characters, (Celaena, Chaol and Dorian), and each of them attracts you with their personality, and the male characters have the same importance  throughout story. These young and fictional characters make you fall in love with them because they are so natural, with their virtues and faults, which manages to make yourself feel that they are more realistic.

In conclusion, throne of glass is the first book of a saga which has high expectations, action, suspense, humor, romance, friendship, and enclosed terror. A mixture of genres that hooks the reader up to the last page and leaves it wanting more.
