Ready player One is a book that has absolutely everything, it has fiction, friendship, love, adventures and it’s full of references to the 80’s. This book has a setting located in a world where the social problems are worsening as time goes by, so everyone finds a way to escape from their terrible reality, OASIS, a virtual reality simulator, but it is more than just a game, it´s a way of living, since in OASIS you can study, work, and meet new people.
We follow the life of Wade Watts, who finds the first clue that leads to Halliday’s Easter egg, and from that moment, his life changes completely, he starts living incredible adventures full of excitement and risk, discovering true friendship, experiencing love for the first time and suffering from betrayal.
This is a story developed in a perfectly built world, everything fits and it´s well constructed, it’s an absorbing story you can´t get enough off, you will get addicted to it and you will not be able to stop reading because it becomes a necessity to know what comes next, Ernest Clint wrote the perfect mix of futurism with a retro air of the 80’s, making this book perfect for everyone who wishes to experience virtual reality only through grabbing a book.
