My Own Fractured Version

Masako's Future

Nagasaki, Japan, March 2078.
Kageyama Ken was a successful scientist for the last years and was married to Tsukishima Kaori, a beautiful woman who shared the same passion for science with her husband.

After 7 years of marriage, Kaori got pregnant, but when tried to talk with Ken about the situation he never paid attention, because he was always working. Ken got obsessed with his inventions, he was trying to create a robot with the ability to behave like a human, the fact that a lifeless object could feel something is impossible, but what the scientist wanted was to create a machine that understands the human feelings, that according to the situations the robot interprets how a real person could react.

One month passed and Kaori never had the opportunity to speak with the father of her son, so she decided to live in another place in which the kid could grow up in a better atmosphere, not surrounded by steel wires and screws but with toys and all the love a mother can give.

Unfortunately, Kaori gets sick and eight months later a little baby, with a face similar to her mother, called Kageyama Masako was born, but Kaori didn't survive to the childbirth.

Immediately Ken found out about what happened through a letter written by Kaori. He felt devastated, he not only lost the woman he loved but he didn't pass her lasts moments with her either. In the letter, Kaori talks about how she felt when Ken was too focused on his work that forgot that he had a wife.

So he decided to take care of his daughter, but just a few months later he discovers that he was sick and it does not have a cure. However, managed to create the robot he always dreamed, so he changes a little the appearance of the machine for it to look more like a woman.

At the exact same moment  the scientist was dead, the robot turns on, it was white and with blue eyes. In her system, thousands of attached files with information of how to take care of a child were uploaded. This robot can't feel happiness or love, but she knows how a person acts when they feel those emotions.

From now on this robot called Annisha takes care of the daughter of Ken and Kaori, she takes the girl to school, helps her with her homework, combs her hair, gives her medicines when gets sick, etc.

With the pass of the years, Masako loves Annisha as if she were her real mother, but grew up believing that Annisha has felt the same way as human does.

April 2162 Nagasaki, Japan.

Masako being 84 years old, has lived a happy life because
Annisha has helped her achieve her goals, she takes care of her the best way she can do it, and never left Masako alone.

When Masako died, with a smile in her face, the battery of Annisha turns off, the scientist created her just for Masako. If Annisha were a real person she would feel happy.
