A Futuristic Story

“My uncle used to tell me stories about times when technology was just a tool or a way of entertainment, thank God he’s not here to see this nonsense…”
After constant advances in technology many scientists thought it would be better to improve the human body with mechanical parts to transcend to a new level in evolution, “transhumanism” they said, but at the end of the day they were just rejecting their humanity.
Many royal and elite groups, even religious figures, started to see regular people as inferior beings for not having robotic parts in their bodies.
At the same time, in another part of the world, a group of ecoterrorists and hackers kidnapped scientists to force them to create something that they called “the true men”. After a few days, when that incident was new,the world just ignored it and decided to continue with the prosthetics to find the balance between machine and flesh, it didn’t help that they were also creating advanced AI to check every project related to that.
My uncle said “nothing good can come from these 2 facts, knowing the greed of people who do not know how to settle for a minimum wage” as we were listening to all the news of revolutionary technological advances that came to the public every 2 weeks.
I had a bad feeling about this…
After 5 years the new “cybermen” and “help” androids were something common in Europe and Asia, but the United states sanctioned and prohibited the creation and distribution of advanced implants and AI able to be connected into the internet. In my country, the only thing related to that technology was the scrap or spare parts of some small factories.
And of course... the production of all these things caused environmental disasters because they cost the investment of too many resources. In only 5 months, a whole forest was deleted from existence just to create the cybernetic legs of a supermodel by mining overexploitation.
And worst of all, those damn hippies were planning something devious, so I was right…
In the year 2060: “reports of terrorist groups attacking cities with realistic animal masks- wait what do you mean? those aren’t masks, then, what are they?” said a news anchor as they showed a video of animal-headed revolutionaries robbing a bank.
Somehow the eco terrorist group managed to create half animal, half human hybrids just to have a personal army of superhumans with stupid ideals, they justify the crude violence they did as a way to protest against “the false men of steel”
Now, we have a bunch of freaks committing atrocities to people to destroy a society controlled by rich people with god's syndrome powered by advanced technology...megalomaniacs.
As bad as a low budget sci-fi movie, but this is real and someone must stop these idiots. We can’t expect Elon Musk to do all the work, that’s why I had no other choice, but to make my own faction to fight in this war.
After a half century of war, my army was made of the most pure people I could find ready to fight with their souls for a better tomorrow, arising plentifully and now is time for the great plan.
We sieged a military base and activated the nukes of the whole world to put at our level the other factions as we managed to survive, after finding a whole line of underground bunkers. Now, the final battle to see who’s going to “purify” Earth and restart humanity again begins.
This is my announcement:
“Stay with me, stay with your brothers and sisters and we will triumph!
“the enemy has a good reason to fear us now”
this criminal act will unleash the wrath of true mankind!
“For that weak sack of flesh that begins with a lost humanity, the mock is that there is no super soldier, no immortal cyborg that follows a blind AI, no creature cursed by biological engineering like you.”
We are true men and we will hold the line for this world!
