In the beginning of the 20th century the concept of generational differences and conflict started as there seemed to be conflict caused by the lack of understanding between children and older people. Due to different social, economic and cultural differences which led to differences in experiences, opinion, habits and behaviors. Reason why nowadays there are classifications of the Generations of the Western Society.

From slang words, to taking pictures, to making something as simple as a hand heart, people part of the Generation Z have stood out from the rest of the generations since the beginning of their existence.
Gen Z constitutes 26% of the population, which is about 2 billion people. And according to the world economic forum (2019) about 2.5 billion people in the world use social media.
As digital natives, Gen Z are engaged in social media, are imperative to technology and all of the consequences it brings. A generation that has the ability to communicate in the matter of seconds.
Unfortunately, Social media is destroying our generation, or maybe modifying it for the worst.
Even though, studies show that about 25% of the boomer population use at least 1 type of social media. People under 24 (meaning Gen Z) tend to use it more, hence they are more affected by the changes in the social interactions.
