An Essay On Loyalty: A Fairness of the Spirit

Loyalty is a commitment to our heart and the heart of others, as it is the power to defend our ideas and principles no matter your convenience; you simply commit yourself by risking anything to defend them.

To be loyal is to be congruent between what you have as a human value and what you do in daily life. It is to maintain in absolute consonance what is said, offered, promised, or sworn, and what is done in practice. It is closely related to other virtues such as friendship, respect, responsibility, and honesty. You have to be loyal in everything, to preserve the trust and respect of others.

A disloyal person is a person without a word, they are unable to defend their values, they only think about the comfort of their actions regardless of whether they hurt someone. Convenience is not the sister of loyalty because it does not have its own opinion, it is always attentive to change its face or position to look good regardless of the commitment to others, it is only interested in material benefit and not moral values.

Nowadays a loyal person is a treasure because you know that you have the confidence to trust them with your eyes closed, since that person is happy to have the most wonderful value, and lives with those firm principles in heart that do not give rise to a betrayal. A loyal person can never be tempted or bribed to deviate from their path, they can become great administrators, great commanders, and great leaders in their respective fields.

Loyalty shows a person's complete dedication to others. Being loyal is always good for maintaining healthy and fruitful relationships with your friends, family, colleagues, and everyone you come across.

Finally, I can say that loyalty is not a series of obligations that you do to look good with others, nor are commitments that you have to make to have something in reward, are actions that you do for yourself and others to defend an idea, belief or relationships without thinking about betrayals.
