Deforestation and Erosion
Deforestation is when people cut down trees without replanting them, so in that way forests get constantly more destroyed. Some of the reasons why people do it are also the causes of it and these are agricultural expansion, wood extraction, mining or industrial agriculture.
Erosion is the process in which the surface of the earth gets worn down. Erosion can be caused by natural events such as winds, floods, glacial ice, etc. There are 5 types, which are listed below:
Physical Erosion
Chemical Erosion
Erosion by water
Erosion by wind
Deforestation is so dangerous to our environment because forests' lost cause climate change, desertification, soil erosion, etc. It also affects the animals' habitats by breaking down the trees and as a consequence of that, we constantly lose biodiversity.
Knowing the problems we have to deal with, some solutions in order to avoid deforestation are: reducing the consumption of paper, educating others, making government regulations, and the use of reforestation, and afforestation.
Erosión
Physical erosion: is the process by which rocks change their physical properties without changing their basic chemical composition. Physical erosion often causes rocks to get smaller or smoother.
Chemical erosion: is the process by which rocks change their chemical composition as they erode.
Erosion by Water: Liquid water is the major agent of erosion on Earth. Rain, rivers, floods, lakes, and the ocean carry away bits of soil and sand and slowly wash away the sediment.
Erosion by Wind: Wind is a powerful agent of erosion. because constantly transport dust, sand, and ashes from one place to another.
Deforestation and erosion are two opposite poles, according to our point of view, since in the particular case of deforestation, we can assume that humans don't know how to treat lady nature and we are the problem causing deforestation.
On the other hand, we have erosion that is a natural effect that the beautiful lady nature created as a result of our wrong intervention; therefore, it is going to be one of the causes of the ending of our existence on this planet; however, humans can change that, before the global warming reaches 2°C and that is our point of view.
Thanks.
