Blood Like Jupiter
My heart was pounding rapidly. My eyes couldn't tell the magnificence I was experiencing at the moment. The black ocean of stars was right in front of my eyes. I could see every different planet in the galaxy. Being able to admire such a thing was a life experience. Suddenly, a soft voice talked through the speakers: "Dear passengers, welcome to cruise 43 heading to Jupiter. We look forward to your comfort and happiness during this amazing experience. Please remember all the security suggestions and enjoy your cruise."
The cruise was full of people from all over the world. There were no differences between us. There was only one thing that made us a community, that was the desire to further our knowledge. We were never satisfied. We always wanted more. We wanted to discover the reason behind the weird gravity phenomenons that were causing the earthquakes and tsunamis on earth.
That's why the US government contacted us, the international scientific community, to be the first cruise to Jupiter, where the answer to our questions is supposed to be. Then, after 3 months of traveling, we reached in front of Jupiter. The whole surface was nothing like the pictures. It was better. The small rocks floating around it, the red blood colors emerging from the light of the 9 small moons, and the aura surrounding the big red-brown mass was breathtaking.
We started to descend, but suddenly an intense and annoying alarm started to play, and a red light made the room silent. Everyone knew what was happening. An engine problem everyone knew was possible but ignored, a 0,1% probability that made everyone alert. We understood what was going to happen next, but everyone was too shocked to begin... until a scream was heard from the back of the cruise, and the massacre began.
The origin of the engine problem was the controlling metal machines. The temperature of Jupiter was higher than expected, causing the metal to start melting. The only solution was to make the descending lighter, which meant getting rid of weight inside the cruise. In other words, killing at least 234 people inside and expelling them to space.
