Through the Tunnel activity


Conflict: Jerry and his mother went on vacation to a beach, then Jerry saw some children on a tunnel underwater.

Man V Nature: He couldn’t breath as he was underwater.

Man V Self: Jerry was doubting if he should go or not.

Rising Actions:

- Jerry and his mother went to the beach for vacations.

- Jerry met some children and wanted to join them.

- Jerry asks his mom to buy him water goggles so he can see underwater.

Climax

Jerry is trapped in the tunnel, he wasn’t finding an opening.

Falling action:

  • Jerry got out of the tunnel and could rest.

  • His mom told him to be more careful.

Resolution: Jerry’s mother tells him to be more careful, because if he is not, he could be in a bad event.

New resolution

Jerry was desperate trying to find a way to go out of the tunnel, then she started drowning and slowly dying, in his anxiety, he had no hope left, so he closed his eyes, suddenly, a shark appeared and bit him in his neck, that gave him gills, he started breathing and thanked the shark, but he decided to stay living in the ocean, so he left with the shark to create an ocean army to combat the terrorists at earth.

Point of view:

Third-person omniscient.

Mood:

suspense.

Setting:

The beach on the coast, the tunnel.

Characters:

Jerry and his mother.

1) If you were drowning underwater, what do you think your last thoughts would be?

2) Would you leave your son freely in the ocean if you were at the beach?

3) Are you scared of the ocean? Why? Why not?

4) What do you think Jerry learned from the whole tunnel thing?

5) What would you do as a parent if your son had a situation like that, how would you react?
