Perseverance is the ability to keep doing something despite obstacles. People who persevere show steadfastness in doing something despite how hard it is or how long it takes to reach the goal. Now, that’s the meaning in the dictionary. For us, perseverance means being hardworking and finishing what is started, despite barriers; to continue doing something, no matter if we fail, we need to get up and keep trying.
Perseverance is an important value that is part of the development of a person and interpersonal relationships. In every relationship there are conflicts and it is necessary to have perseverance and control to resolve them and not be afraid of failure or mistakes to overcome them and thus improve and grow personally. Perseverance brings stability, confidence and is a sign of maturity.
It allows a person to continue forward, not to surrender despite difficulties, obstacles, frustration, discouragement, boredom, or desire to surrender a situation.
Perseverance is a positive value that helps or increases the probability of achieving difficult goals and appreciating more the achievements made.
A persevering person is characterized by knowing how to pursue his goals with tenacity and dedication, finish what has begun, maintain concentration, work with constancy and try again to improve the method if it fails.
They are generally optimistic, have high self-esteem and a high capacity for self-control and self-discipline.
An example of perseverance that probably we all had was when we first tried to walk. When a child learns to stand up and tries to walk, he is found to fall again and again. And by nature and instinct, he gets up, and again tries to step forward, although again he falls. But ultimately, he succeeds in walking.
Finally, it is said that perseverance is not only a fundamental human value that allows the person not to come to surrender and continue forward despite the frustration, discouragement, or simply the idea of wanting to surrender without any justification. It is trying to coexist with that ideology of being able to walk a life with certain problems that will be overcome to reach the established goal, which is given by the idea of reaching the maximum point that is demanded by oneself to perform some action or desire along with perseverance.
For all prior mentioned, is usually explained that perseverance is the key to success in many situations, although it should be said that the key to success is knowing when to persevere.
