Summary
Sir Henry was the last of the Baskervilles, but Mortimer was afraid he might die in the hall, like all the other Baskervilles; reason why he went to see Sherlock Holmes and Watson. They agreed to meet again with Sir Henry the next morning at ten o'clock. They finished their meeting and Sir Henry with Dr. Mortimer and decided to go back to the hotel; Sherlock and Watson went after them, and on their way, they saw a black-beard man who was observing them.
They knew someone named Barrymore, who has a black beard, so to confirm that, they sent a telegram. They all agreed that the inheritor should go to Baskerville Hall, but in Watson's company. On their way to the hall, Watson saw they were being escorted by a soldier with a gun, and it was because a dangerous prisoner just escaped.
Later, Watson had a walk to the post office and discovered that Mrs. Barrymore was the one who received the telegram instead of her husband. Then Watson met Stapleton. He has a sister, which Watson met in a weird way. One night Watson heard Barrymore moving and followed him to a room.
Then, another night the same thing happened, and apparently it was he was trying to send signals to his brother, Sir Selden, the prisoner. They tried to capture him but suddenly some evil animal was staring at them. They ran out of there and agreed with the Barrymores to talk the next morning.
