Geraldo No Last Name: Plot Analysis
Man vs Man: Geraldo against the person who killed him.
Man vs Nature: The person who killed Geraldo against his or her own human nature by confronting terror and deciding to leave.
Man vs Himself: Marin battling her moral convictions because, regardless of the fact that she didn't actually know him, and also that she lived in a very unequal society, she felt compelled to stay with him.
Man vs Society: Him vs a racist system who criticized him , didn't help him and cared about his death just because of his appearance, clothing, and anonymity.
Rising Actions: Marin mentions Geraldo by giving a brief description of him, such as how they met, his appearance, as well as how he was dressed.
Climax: She says that she was the last person to see Geraldo alive and that she was unsure to either rush him to the hospital and help him, or abandon him after the crash.
Falling Actions: She expresses her dissatisfaction towards Geraldo by making judgements about who he was (wetback) and that nobody knew anything at all about his life.
Resolution: Marin ends the story by emphasizing his anonymity, saying, "Geraldo was his name, and his home was in another world," and he'll never contact anyone or anything he left behind.
New ending: Many years passed and Marin continued with her life, but one day walking down the street she saw a poster with Geraldo’s face saying he was missing, she was shocked for a moment but decided to call the number on the poster and it was his family, she talked with them about what happened with Geraldo.
