Seeing What Isn't There

Caught in the moment

Where I painted a picture

I thought I drew you well

But I was seeing what isn't there

When you broke my heart,

I was tangled up in my sheets

I knew you only wanted half of me

And I'd rather hurt than be left with only having a heart piece

My imagination's too creative

´Cause I never thought you'd leave me

I needed something to believe in

I thought what we had was a forever thing

I wanted us to keep growing

But you weren't bonding

Everything you are

Made you everything you aren't

Maybe that's the issue

But I can´t hold that against you

Because I did it to myself

I thought you were somebody else
