A strange metal monolith was discovered in the desert of that state by a group of workers from the wildlife protection services traveling in a helicopter.
They were counting sheep while
flying over a remote area of southeastern Utah when they spotted the
"unusual" object.
When local authorities in Utah, the western United States revealed the discovery of a gleaming metal structure deep in a desert Tuesday, they did not say exactly where it was.
They hoped that with that the
amateur adventurers would give up going out to look for it and not risk
getting dangerously lost in the attempt.
But in reality, there was little
chance that all curious travelers would follow this advice.
Hundreds of people who have already
visited the place, suggest this is a professional job.
The object consists of large sheets of what appears to be stainless steel welded together, hollow inside. Whoever left the monolith there used sturdy tools to cut through the rocky soil and embed the structure.
David Surber was the first person to arrive at the place where this mysterious object is found.
